Some of our family’s favorite

memories were made on the water

Those of you who love the water as much as we do, know that boating is more than just an activity or a hobby—it is a way of life. Whether you are sailing, fishing, or powering across the waves, we all share a unique culture. So, we set out to capture and collect some of the humor, habits, and heart of the boating life. Our clothing, hats and mugs are inspired and created out of our love and passion for boating, fishing, and the people everywhere who share that passion. We hope that our products bring a smile to your face and add joy to your day, wherever your travels take you. And remember, the best joy floats.

Just how long has fishing been around

Fishing is an ancient practice that dates back to at least the beginning of the Upper Paleolithic period about 40,000 years ago.[3] Isotopic analysis of the remains of Tianyuan man, a 40,000-year-old modern human from eastern Asia, has shown that he regularly consumed freshwater fish.[4][5] Archaeology features such as shell middens, discarded fish bones, and cave paintings show that sea foods were important for survival and consumed in significant quantities. Fishing in Africa is evident very early on in human history. Neanderthals were fishing by about 200,000 BC.[7] People could have developed basketry for fish traps, and spinning and early forms of knitting in order to make fishing nets to be able to catch more fish in larger quantities.
